Casino Superstitions

Everybody loves to win. Some people go further than a simple strategy when playing and use different lucky charms, talismans or routines to attract good luck.

Some players may bathe with special soaps and sprays with scents that supposedly draw good luck. While playing the actual games, the bettors might do certain actions that they think will attract good luck. The following actions described are those thought of to bring good luck to gamblers:
- Carrying a lucky charm: for example a lock of hair, a four-leaf clover, a horseshoe or a coin with a hole in it, to name a few.
- Touching your favorite card with your index finger
- A male player having a pretty woman stand behind his chair while playing a game.
- Sitting on a handkerchief
- Blowing on cards or dice for luck (when either of them are involved in the game)
- Looking away when playing roulette, just as the ball falls on a number

On the other hand, here are a few examples of casino myths that supposedly bring bad luck to gamblers:
-Having a dog in the room
-Picking up cards with your left hand
-Playing cards on a well-polished surface
-Rubbing dice on the head of a red headed person

In addition to this, wearing a certain combination of clothes to play depending on the day of the week or acting in a particular manner supposedly influences the players fortune also.

Above all, players must remember that most casino games depend on pure randomness and strategy abilities, so when attempting to play the casino games, whether they are online or in an establishment, they must remember that its purpose is simply entertaining and relaxing and (online) a good way to make friends.
